Traditional Nettle Purée

Here is how to prepare nettle purée at home:

First, young nettle leaves are carefully collected, preferably using gloves to avoid stings. The leaves are then thoroughly washed. Next, the nettles are briefly boiled in salted water for a few minutes until they soften and lose their sting. After boiling, the leaves are drained and finely chopped or blended into a smooth paste. In a separate pan, a little oil or butter is heated, and optionally some garlic is added for flavor. The nettle purée is then mixed in and cooked gently for a few minutes. Finally, salt is added to taste, and the purée is ready to be served, often as a side dish.
